Advocacy Day 2017

Main Legislative Cafeteria located on the lowest level of the main Legislative Building located at 16 West Jones Street, Raleigh.

7:30am - whenever you need to leave

Legislators will be invited to the breakfast, so this is a good opportunity for members to meet legislators as they come down to breakfast. We will be in the Legislative Cafeteria from 7:30 until 9 a.m. Then we will disperse and visit committee meetings and individual legislators.

For those who wish, we will reconvene for lunch around noon either at the Legislative Cafeteria or at the Daily Planet across the street from the Legislative Building (to be decided that day, depending on what is going on).  After lunch, members can either leave, or stay for the full House and/or Senate session which usually starts around 2 p.m. (though this time is not guaranteed - they set the calendar the day before).

Earn Contact Hours based on the amount of time you stay; minimum of 1.0 contact hour will be earned.

Not a morning person? Come into town early and stay at the Holiday Inn, (formerly Clarion), located at 320 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, NC 27603; click here for directions. The Holiday Inn is a short walk from the Legislative Office Building. More details will come soon!

Do You Know How to Contact Your Elected Officials?  Do You Know Who They Are?

We highly recommend that you contact your legislators, and talk to him/her about your profession.  Discuss what issues are important to you and how they affect your livelihood.

To identify your legislators and get their contact info, please click here and enter your address  on the top map for your representative and on the second map listing for your senator (both are found at the same link). Click on the district number that pops up at your address, and that will bring up your legislators info, including his or her phone number in Raleigh and in your local district.

Please consider making a donation of any amount, to support the LPCANC's legislative efforts!

As we all know, nothing is free: LPCANC pays a lobbyist to be the LPCANC Voice in Raleigh, and we pay to hold events to educate and inform LPCs on issues that directly affect their profession.

Please make a donation now!

This is not PAC money, paid to support legislators! This is money donated to the Association to continue advocacy efforts on behalf of all LPCs in North Carolina, not just members of LPCANC.

Consider joining LPCANC today to increase our voice and help support these efforts.

LPCANC is a 501(c)6, so donations are not tax deductible.
